At Absolute Merc, we know the gearbox is one of the most essential components of your Mercedes vehicle. Whether you’re driving a manual or automatic, a faulty gearbox can lead to serious performance issues and even put your safety at risk. That’s why we offer expert gearbox repairs right here in Poole.

There are a few common problems that can signal trouble with your gearbox. For manual gearboxes, you might notice difficulty shifting gears, grinding noises, or even a burning smell caused by overheating. In automatics, warning signs include delayed gear engagement, slipping gears, or sudden jolts while driving. Low or leaking transmission fluid is another frequent culprit that can cause significant wear and tear if left unchecked.

At Absolute Merc, we specialise in diagnosing and repairing gearboxes for all Mercedes models. Our skilled technicians have the expertise and tools to identify the root cause of the issue, whether it’s worn bearings, damaged gears, or a problem with the hydraulic system. Plus, we only recommend repairs that are genuinely needed, giving you peace of mind every step of the way.
